Back from a break

Its been a while,
since I rhymed.
Its been a while,
since I wrote a line.
Its been a while,
since I poured my heart out.
But today,
I write this song.

Its been a while,
since I smiled at the sky.
Its been a while,
since I heard the leaves fly.
Its been a while,
since I heard the birds chirp.
But today,
I see a new world.

Its been a while,
since I sang out loud.
Its been a while,
since I laughed my heart out.
Its been a while,
I cried my self over nothing.
But today,
I feel alive again.

Its been a while,
since I felt the warmth.
Its been a while,
since I held hands on a walk.
Its been a while,
since I slept with dreams in my eyes.
Its been a while,
since I found joy in someone's smile.
But today,
I am with you, humming this song.

Looking through my lens

Looking through my lens,
I see a different world.
of bees and trees,
and the swaying leaves.
I see a light,
that leads my flight;
by my side;
every sight.

Looking through my lens,
I see a different world.
of high skies and clouds,
and the birds that fly along.
I see a scene,
that looks serene;
I capture in blink;
it shows on my screen.

Looking through my lens,
I see a different world.
of humans and animals,
and drama all in all.
I see pictures,
of thousand different kinds;
be humans or animals;
and emotions every type.

Looking through my lens,
I see a different world.
of me and the universe,
together on a tour.
I see the world with a new eye,
a new thought;
a new kind;
all stored in my drive.

I do...but I wont

I miss you,
Is what my heart says.
But I can't tell you,
You have gone far away.

I still remember you,
As fresh as the dew drop each day,
But I hope I don't again,
For you must be forgotten someday.

I still hear your voice,
that gave me goose bumps all the time,
But I must not,
For I must sleep tonight.

I still see your face,
Like the dawn in the dark day.
But I must close my eyes,
For you brought the darkness my way.

I walked away,
Still you catch up some way.
But I must run,
To see the light of the new day.

Snow White and the seven dwarfs - the meeting of a kind (part 3)

At dusk seven tiny men arrived,
And opened the door to a surprise,
Sitting on the table hot bowl of soup for each,
And the house was spic span clean.

Wondered they how this came to be,
Puzzled and dazzled they looked with glee.
Took the flight upstairs to see,
A peaceful snow white falling asleep.

Tiny footsteps broke her sleep,
Snow white ran behind the curtain and peeped.
Dwarfs stood silent as a hill,
Snow white sat on the window sill.

Wise and old dwarf questioned her,
"Who are you my child?
Why are you here?
Snow white answered," snow white my name.
I'm lost and have no where to go.
Came across your cottage, so beautiful and quite.
I couldn't resist stepping inside"

" Let me stay with you all here,
I shall cook and clean while you work"
The dwarfs pondered for a while,
Took a look into her deep blue eyes,
They couldn't resist saying yes,
And disappoint the pretty lady guest.
Their faces beamed with smile,
Snow white stayed with them for a very long time.

Into the light

I stand alone,
In a pitch dark room.
Try hard to see,
With whom.

I feel a presence,
But still there is an absence.
I try to reach out,
But none I sought.

A shadow passes me by,
I try to catch an image with my eye.
Pitch dark room beats me,
But a touch I can see.

I call out to the soul,
and hear a small moan.
I call out to come to me,
Says I can't, its just meant to be.

I ask why is it so,
I'm just a guardian angel;
To watch me safely go,
Into the light at the end of the room,
A new beginning..a life renewed..

Snow White and the seven dwarfs- what happened next! (part 2)

A faithful servant was given the deed,
To put Snow White into a deep slumber sleep.
If she were to never wake again,
A reward the servant shall gain.

The greedy servant agreed to the task,
took Snow White to the forest;
wearing a friendly mask.
They sang and spoke all the way,
The servant's heart melted for the pretty snow face.

He failed to do his deed,
But was also greedy for the reward he would seek.
Leaving Snow white back, while asleep;
He took a deer's heart, to meet the queen.

The Queen laughed and squealed with delight,
Unaware of the life of Snow White.
Showering the servant with coins of gold,
He decided the truth better not be told.

Sleeping peacefully in the woods,
Snow woke up with the chirping of the birds.
She stood up and look around,
For a familiar face or sound.

Alas! she could see none,
Snow White was heartbroken.
She walked into the woods,
Came across a cottage that stood.

She knocked at the door;
No one replied,
so she took a peep inside.
Found a tiny table with tiny chairs around,
She counted and seven of them she found.
Went to the room above,
She saw seven beds and exclaimed "Wow!"

Made soup for eight,
she had a bowl;
And decided to wait.
Feeling tired; she went upstairs,
To sleep on the bed that lay there.

Snow White and the seven dwarfs- The beginning (part 1)

Long long ago,
lived a girl by the name Snow.
With her father the king,
and stepmother the queen.

Baby Snow never knew her mum,
for she died when Snow was very young.
along came another one,
the queen and stepmother to the young one.

The queen;
very vain and proud,
spoke about her beauty;
Oh so loud.
She dressed in expensive clothes and wore sparkling jewellery.
And swore she was the prettiest in the country.

Proof she said was a mirror,
which replied without any fear.
Answered to the question,
"Who is the prettiest of all?"
"You, my dear queen."
Be it winter or fall.

Years passed by,
the queen did not change.
Snow grew into a pretty girl,
stories of her beauty reached every range.

Her face glowed,
as white as snow.
Snow White,
was her name now known.

The mirror still hung on the wall,
Answering the same question like a puppet doll.
But once it said,
"Snow white prettiest among all"
And in thousand pieces the mirror shattered,
it fell from the wall.

Angry queen filled with ego and pride,
made plans to send Snow White on a far away ride.
She plotted and planned everyday.
And finally sent Snow White away.
